Urgent prayer request: From Pastor Abel and his family
Hello everyone! How is everything there?
Things are going well here. Of course you may have heard that dad has Parkinson as shared with the church by pastor Dick. This shocked us when we first knew it although we suspected. It is sad to see him trembling and concerned with things he needs to do (or stop doing, which is worse…), changes in his life style, and the battle against the disease to postpone as much as possible the damage that it may cause. But God is bringing us closer to Him through this situation.
Keep praying for alternatives such as the miracle of healing, the success of the medicines to control the disease, dad's heart to be comforted and rest in the Lord, our hearts to be comforted as well if we need to live with the disease. Please also pray for the changes he needs to go through from now on (things like changing his driver's license (which hopefully will not be canceled…), frequent physical therapy, speech therapy (not needed yet, but doctor said that some time he may need that), exercising (walking, swimming, or another low impact activity), and specially delegating more responsibilities at churchto other people).
Well, just wanted to say hello and send a reminder that your prayers are extremely appreciated and a blessing for us.
Also include Regina in your prayers as the baby (Pedro) is coming soon… Delivery is due end of this month or beginning of next month. We thank God for another blessing!
